Louisville #8 will be hosting the District Deputy Clinic on Sunday, April 12. This is a good way to learn about what is going on and meet Elks from around the state. Competition for rituals will be that day so come and watch Newport put on the ritual in Louisville. For more information or if interested in attending, contact Russ Cramer
Good Friday Fish Fry will be Friday, April 3. The lodge will be serving fish starting at 11:00. Much help will be needed that day if anyone is interested in helping. Let the trustees know if anyone can give the lodge some of their time. It is a very busy day and all help will be appreciated.
The Elks State Bowling Tournament will be hosted by Newport Lodge on March 14-15. Bowlers will be bowling at LaRu Lanes competing in Team and individual games. Anyone interested in bowling, see Sam Taylor if you haven't yet done so. Help is needed to work this weekend and a sign up sheet is posted for anyone who can give some of their time.
Also, Saturday night, there will be a chicken dinner served for bowlers, members, and guests . There will be karaoke following the dinner for entertainment. If anyone is interested, a sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board for anyone attending the dinner.
Installation of Officers for the year 2015-16 will be installed on Saturday, March 28 starting at 7:00. All members and families are welcome to attend. H'ordourves will be served afterwards. A sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board for all members interested in attending. Please come and join the new officers for the upcoming year.
The lodge appreciation dinner will be held on Wednesday, March 25 for all members and guests who have helped at the lodge in any way. The cost is free to members attending and will begin at 6:30. Sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board for any members interested in attending.
